Programme for promotion of entrepreneurial activity in mountainous regions

The purpose of the Programme

• The purpose of the programme for promotion of entrepreneurial activity in mountainous regions is to support the development of private sector and creation of new jobs, stimulation of growth of young entrepreneurs and economic activities in mountainous regions through co-financing.
• The aim of the programme is the sustainable development of both agricultural and nonagricultural sectors in mountainous settlements and diversification of local economics.

The Programme is being implemented by the Rural Development Agency.

The implementation of the programme is coordinated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

Programme is being implemented in mountainous settlements of Georgia. (mountainous settlements are determined in accordance with the Resolution N 671 of the Government of Georgia from December 30, 2015 year on “Approval of the list of mountainous settlements”.
