The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has announced a launch of the new state funded Community-Led Local Support Programme based on LEADER approach.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia has announced a launch of the new state funded Community-Led Local Support Programme based on LEADER approach.

LEADER is the EU’s participatory and bottom-up approach which has been used for 30 years to engage local actors in the design and delivery of strategies, decision-making and resource allocation for the development of their rural areas.

The Programme provides funding to stimulate sustainable rural economic and social development. It targets funding towards key areas in need of support reflecting the needs of rural Georgia.
The area covered by the Programme is rural territories of Georgia according to the rules and conditions laid down by the Government of Georgia. The Programme budget for 2024 is 1 million GEL.

Applications will be evaluated based on the rules laid down by the Government of Georgia.

The deadline for submissions is 30 April 2024.
