Within the frameworks of program for supporting hazelnut production, the registration of orchards is actively in progress. Hazelnut orchards with more than 36,913 ha area are registered as of February 17. For participation in state program, the hazelnut farmers shall register their orchards till April 28, 2023 (inclusive).
For registration in the hazelnut cadastre, you should apply to the regional service of the Rural Development Agency or the information-consulting center by April 28, 2023. Across the country, 9 regional services and 45 information centers of the Rural Development Agency are functioning, addresses and contact information can be found on the link.
In order to participate in hazelnut production supporting program, a citizen of Georgia shall own or/and actually own a hazelnut orchard with total area of 0.2 ha and not more than 3 ha. The amount of the subsidy per 1 hectare of hazelnut orchard is 500 GEL.
The individuals who have registered in program will have accrued relevant points on Liberty Bank plastic card. Accrual of points will be initiated on spring of current year. Deadline for use of sums or/and points accrued to the cards of beneficiaries at specialized shops is set for August 31, 2023 year.
The Hazelnut Production Supporting Program will be implemented in all municipalities of Georgia except the self-governing cities.
